Therapeutic Horsemanship Management (B.A.)

Help others experience the benefits of horses by specializing in therapeutic horsemanship management.

The B.A. program in Business Administration with a Specialization in Therapeutic Horsemanship Management prepares students for a future in the equine industry. The Ride-Like-A-Knight Therapeutic Horsemanship program provides students with unique perspectives as they serve as administrators, volunteer coordinators, program directors, and instructors during their college career. Ride-Like-A-Knight is a Premier Accredited Center and a Higher Education Member with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl). Some graduates may also choose to pursue graduate school to become a physical therapist, occupational therapist or occupational therapist assistant.

Program Highlights:

  • Students receive through riding lessons, stable management instruction, work study experience, and event management throughout their educational journey.
  • Sponsorship opportunities through the Therapeutic Horsemanship Club allowing students to attend PATH Intl. Region 3 Conference, state meeting and committee meetings.
  • Internships are an integral part of the St. Andrews education. Therapeutic Horsemanship majors are paired with PATH Intl. centers for this invaluable experiential experience that often leads to employment after graduation.
  • Opportunities to interact and learn from with renowned leaders in the equine industry.
