Scotland County can be found approximately halfway between Wilmington and Charlotte, just over the North Carolina state line. Laurinburg, the county seat of Scotland, is home to the original St. Andrews.
St. Andrews attracts students from across the country and across the globe! Experience the diversity of cultures from 26 different countries, authentically. The campus has 8 residence halls housing the majority of student which creates a close-knit community of open-minded and considerate individuals.
24 men’s and women’s sports compete within the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Games, matches, and throughout the academic year keep students busy, whether that is attending a game or playing in it! In addition to the NAIA sports, St. Andrews also hosts co-ed Competitive Cheer and Dance Teams and an eSports Team. Thought that was all? The three equestrian teams have brought countless regional, zone, semi-final, and national titles home to St. Andrews over their 20+ years of competing.
Students are encouraged to give back to the Laurinburg community throughout their years at St. Andrews. The Equestrian Teams have adopted a section of Hasty Road and can be found picking up litter and debris a few times a semester. For the past few years, the Baseball Team has volunteered with the Optimist Club of Laurinburg with their annual Christmas Tree sale. In addition to many other volunteering and community service projects, many students are also employed in the Laurinburg area. Downtown Laurinburg offers great events throughout the year and students enjoy getting off-campus to participate in Laurinburg After 5, Christmas on Main, farmers’ markets, craft fairs, and more. No matter where you go in Laurinburg, you are bound to see another member of Knight Nation!
No matter which degree program you choose, St. Andrews allows you to dive right in and experience your education hands-on. We don’t believe that classroom learning is the only option and believe it takes both strategies to help students gain the knowledge they need.
Many of our programs also offer valuable internship opportunities that give you a taste of the real world. This means you’ll have a competitive edge as you enter the workforce with other recent graduates. We want our students to succeed, and we give them all the tool they need to do so.
St. Andrews is focused on enabling its students for rewarding careers in their respective industries.
