Mentorship at St. Andrews

The St. Andrews alumni base is full of graduates who are excelling in all areas of the work force. We have doctors, teachers, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, lawyers; you name it.

These same individuals that were once in your shoes now want to give back and help you achieve your goals!

We have asked mentors to keep up with monthly conversations with their mentees. If you have any questions or concerns during the mentorship process, please reach out to the Alumni Office.

Here’s what you need to do:
  1. Fill out the Mentorship Form below to sign up for Mentorship
  2. Wait for the Alumni Office to contact you and confirm your interest
  3. The Alumni Office will notify you when a mentor has been found
  4. Be honest with your mentor about your dreams, aspirations, and where you are currently on that journey.
  5. The Alumni Office will check in on you during and at the end of the semester to see how your experience went.

Why is Mentorship Important?

Guidance and Learning: Mentors provide valuable insights and advice based on their experiences. They can help you navigate challenges, avoid common pitfalls, and offer guidance on achieving goals.

Networking Opportunities: A mentor often has a broad network of connections and can introduce mentees to new opportunities or people who can assist in their career or personal development.

Confidence Building: Having a mentor who believes in your abilities can boost your confidence. Their encouragement helps you take risks, step out of your comfort zone, and pursue ambitious goals.

Personal Growth: Mentorship often leads to self-reflection and personal development. It fosters growth in emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and resilience.

Perspective: A mentor can offer a different perspective, helping mentees see issues from various angles and make more informed decision
