For All Students:

A student who tests positive for COVID-19 but has no or light symptoms; or did not test but has light symptoms may cease isolation (i.e., fully participate in classes, sports, other activities) after:

  • At least 10 days have elapsed since the positive test or the symptoms first appeared
  • At least 24 hours without fever reducing medicine (a fever is a symptom) and asymptomatic or symptoms are improving
  • *Loss of taste and smell may persist for weeks or months after recovery and need not delay the end of isolation

A student who tests positive for COVID-19 and is severely ill will follow the guidance of a physician and may require 10 to 20 days or more to recover and additional testing before returning to normal activity.

A student who has been exposed to COVID-19, but tests negative, may cease isolation (i.e. fully participate in classes, sports, or other activities) after the following:

  • At least 14 days have elapsed since the exposure to an individual who has tested positive;
