Call for Nominations – Class of 1991 Distinguished Faculty Service Award (Due April 4, 2 025)

Dear Faculty and Students,
Nominations are now open for the Class of 1991 Distinguished Faculty Service Award, which will be presented at our Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, May 4th.
About the Award
This annual award honors a faculty member who exemplifies dedication, inspiration, and exceptional service to students—both inside and outside the classroom. Established by the Class of 1991, this award recognizes a faculty member who goes beyond their job description to positively impact the educational, social, and personal growth of students.
Selection Criteria

      Nominees should demonstrate:

  • Dedication to Student Success – Provides exceptional support for students’ academic, social, and personal growth through mentorship, guidance, and meaningful engagement.
  • Impact Beyond the Classroom – Actively shares expertise and ideas with students through publications, lectures, workshops, or other educational opportunities outside of standard coursework.
  • Service to the St. Andrews Community – Contributes significantly to the university beyond assigned duties, enhancing the overall campus environment and student experience.
  • Effective Engagement with Students – Builds strong connections with students through teaching, advising, and participation in committees, task forces, and campus initiatives.
  • Commitment to Leadership Development – Encourages and nurtures students’ leadership skills, empowering them to take on meaningful roles within and beyond the university.

Nomination Process

Both faculty and students are encouraged to submit nominations describing how the nominee meets the award’s criteria.
