Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
Nominations are now open for the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, presented annually at the Commencement ceremony.
About the Award
This prestigious award recognizes one or two graduating seniors and may also honor an individual from outside the St. Andrews community who exemplifies selflessness, integrity, and service to others. Sponsored by the New York Southern Society, the Sullivan Award is intended to honor individuals whose “nobility of character” is demonstrated through their consistent commitment to serving others. As the Foundation states:
“The Award shall be made only in recognition of the fine spiritual qualities practically applied to daily living, as distinct from high scholarship, athletic achievement, success in business, professional ability, political leadership, or merely worldly prominence in any calling.”
Nomination Process
To submit a nomination, please explain how the nominee meets the award’s criteria. While academic and athletic achievements are recognized through other honors, they are not considered in the selection process for this award.
Submit electronically via Microsoft Form: https://forms.office.com/r/VfWV5SWf3B
Nominations must be submitted no later than April 4, 2025.
For any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Best regards,
