St. Andrews physical plant staff, our electrical contractor and our disaster recovery contractors have been working through the weekend.  Electrical power has been restored to the residential side of campus.  Power from off campus flows through the residential side of campus before it goes across the lake to the academic side.  Now, work is underway to bring the power up to our academic buildings.  However, several electrical switch gear rooms in some academic buildings must be dried out before power can be extended. In other areas, parts arrived this morning to repair the damage done to the chiller that cools our buildings and those parts will be installed soon.

We are making arrangements to bring a mobile kitchen to campus early in the week that will allow Pioneer Food Service to set up to prepare and feed students until such time as the kitchen equipment in the cafeteria has been tested and repaired or replace if necessary.  While there is much work still be done, a lot of progress has been made on our highest priorities--electrical service, air-conditioning, food service and water mitigation.  We hope to be able to make a decision early in the week about the re-started of classes on the St. Andrews campus.
Thanks to the teamwork of our physical plant staff and contractors and to the patience of our faculty, staff and students.  We will continue to provide updates as we have new information to share.
