The General Honors Program
The General Honors Program offers special challenges and enhanced educational opportunities to advanced learners of proven academic achievement. To be invited into the Honors Program and receive supplemental financial aid, students must have a minimum SAT score of 1150 (post-March 2016) or a minimum ACT score of 24, and a weighted high school GPA of 3.4 or higher. They must also complete an interview and be able to demonstrate a desire to move beyond the basic expectations of the classroom environment. There is no application. Students who are determined eligible will receive an invitation to join the Honors Program. Students who are admitted into the General Honors Program will receive a special scholarship upon entrance that will continue for each semester they remain in the program. This scholarship will be reissued at the beginning of each academic year following review by the Director.
To be offered an invitation into the General Honors Program, students must have an SAT score of 1150 or higher (post-March 2016) or an ACT score of 24 or higher, and a minimum weighted high school GPA of 3.4.
