Tour of PNC Arena

“Our Operations Management class recently toured the PNC Arena. Located in Raleigh, NC, the PNC Arena is home to the 2006 Stanley Cup Champions Carolina Hurricanes and NC State University Men's Basketball. With over 1.5 million guests and 150 events annually the arena's economic impact is estimated to be about $170 million a year.

The class enjoyed a comprehensive presentation about the operational side of the PNC arena from the General Manager, Vice President, and the Director of Marketing. The visit include a tour of the three concourses, 66 luxury suites, 2,000 Club Seats, and spacious 9,100 square foot restaurant on the Club Level. The class witnessed first-hand how the management and staff prepare the arena for an event. Students acquired invaluable hands-on knowledge from observing the processes of a successful management style, which demonstrated real-world application of course material, as well as making lifelong memories."
